What impact has iBuildBridges had on you as a musician and person?
iBuildBridges brings different musicians together to form a community and build special bonds that help us understand each other’s values and relate to one another. We have fun together and learn new and exciting things.
Why is music important to you?
I started learning the violin 15 years ago when I was 10 years old and continued to do orchestra up until my senior year in high school. It was such a memorable experience to visit places I have never been to – to visit concert halls and other schools is just amazing.
What are your musical influences?
I stumbled across a young man playing a song that I instantly recognized – “Crystallize” by Lindsey Stirling, and I showed him that I know how to play her songs as well. We became friends and he taught me the ways of street performing, which is what I currently do for a living.
I know there are so many problems going on in the world with politics and race and everything, but when you sit down and really talk to one another and share your hobbies, your favorite musicians, genres, video games, TV shows, anything like that, you'd be surprised how quickly you can be united.
