Meet the Artist

What inspired you to join iBuildBridges?

I wanted to join a community of musicians dedicated to uplifting diverse communities. I am an educator, and I’m passionate about providing a fair and equitable education for all students.

What’s something unique you contribute to the group?

My parents are from the Philippines, and I was born on the beautiful island of Guam. My father is a pastor, so I grew up listening to Christian music.

Why is music important to you?

Music is therapeutic for me. It gives me a chance to express myself and release myself from difficult emotions.

What are your musical influences?

What impact has iBuildBridges had on you as a musician and person?

I've grown as a performer, a musician, and as a person. iBuildBridges has helped me practice being open to others and taking time to listen to their stories. I've also developed more as a bass player.

What's your favorite iBuildBridges song to perform?

Frevolight. It's fun and energetic.

How else do you like to spend your time?

I enjoy basketball, camping, and board games. One of my favorite hobbies is a card game called “Magic! The Gathering.” I also write and perform rap music and play bass for my church.
