What inspired you to join iBuildBridges?
iBuildBridges brings people together for a common purpose. Through our art, we have the chance to not only express our individuality and showcase our unique talents but also to forge connections with those around us and cultivate a better world.
What’s something unique you contribute to the group?
On a personal level, I’m passionate about uplifting the voices of Black women and girls, as well as other people of color. I’m committed to making sure their stories are heard and celebrated.
What are your musical influences?
My musical influences are jazz, gospel, funk, blues, old hip-hop, soul, indie/contemporary/alternative R&B, and classical music.
What’s your favorite iBuildBridges ensemble piece to perform, and why?
One of my favorite pieces is our song, “Change.” We created it during the COVID era, each of us adding our own verses to shape an eleven-minute masterpiece. What makes it so powerful is the way every voice and verse weaves together into one story of courage, growth, facing our fears, and standing up for what we believe in. Change is more than a song—it reflects our shared strength and unity.
What impact has iBuildBridges had on you as a musician and person?
I’m on a shared journey to build bridges—both literal and metaphorical—between diverse communities. At iBuildBridges we are not just artists; we are catalysts for change, advocates for equity, and champions of connection, poised to make our mark on the world.
Why is music important to you?
Music isn’t just a part of me — it is me. It moves through my veins like light through glass, shaping how I see, feel, and give to the world. It’s the language my soul speaks when words fall silent, the way I bring healing to the heart, mind, body, and spirit. Music holds pieces of my story, my joy, my pain — and through it, I find freedom.
How do you spend your time outside of iBuildBridges?
Outside of iBuildBridges, I focus on growing as an artist and a person. Through acting, modeling, vocal training, movement work, studying nutrition, and nurturing my relationship with God, I explore new ways to express myself authentically and with purpose. I’m also involved with Theatre Battery and Totem Star, and I hope to inspire others to embrace their own growth and creativity along the way.

Building bridges is an important part of reaching the world around us. Through this process, we can build strong relationships and have the power to affect others in ways we never imagined.
