What inspired you to join iBuildBridges?
I joined iBuildBridges because I believe in connecting people and creating opportunities across communities. I’m passionate about cultural exchange and creative collaboration, so the mission really speaks to me.
What are your musical influences?
My influences are a mix of classic rock, grunge, and Latin rock. I draw inspiration from artists like Chris Cornell, Led Zeppelin, Hendrix, AC/DC, The Doors, and Steve Vai. I’d say the Colombian rock band Diamante Eléctrico, Argentina’s Soda Stereo, and our own Seattle rock scene have also shaped my sound.
What”s your favorite iBuildBridges ensemble piece to perform, and why?
Change – it pushed me to be a better musician, blending jazz and blues, and bringing my own personal sound to it.
What has being part of iBuildBridges meant to you?
iBuildBridges has made me a more versatile musician and helped me connect with amazing musicians from different backgrounds who push me to be better.
Why is music important to you?
Music is my life. I breathe and am surrounded by music. In addition to being part of iBuildBridges, I work as a live audio engineer, play for three bands, and work in a music studio.
How do you spend your time outside of iBuildBridges?
I work at my day job, practice all my instruments, rehearse with my bands, and spend time with my wife. My main band is Flür, a bilingual modern rock band where I play lead guitar and vocals. I also play lead guitar for Shai Foxx and Sara Camile.
