Lauren Fernandez

Ever since my grandma sat me down on her piano, I knew that music would always be part of my life in some shape or form. Throughout school, being part of different music groups became a way for me to connect with others, whether that be through orchestra, jazz band, or mariachi club. Eventually, I also found songwriting as a way for me to explore the experiences or feelings that I may share with others. Joining iBuildBridges and meeting new people is exciting because it will be a way for me to continue engaging in music while getting to know more people in my community! My hope is that through iBuildBridges, I will be able to get to know everyone’s stories and explore ways we can make positive impacts in the community through music together.
